Lainy has been part of KCC since 2016 and now leads the organisation as Managing Director. With a BA in Community Development from the University of Glasgow, she is committed to challenging the inequalities that affect communities like Kingsway and works to ensure that practices remain inclusive, participatory and responsive. Lainy’s leadership style is values-driven, compassionate and collaborative. She fosters a culture of inclusivity across the organisation, one where every voice is respected and where lived experience is seen as expertise. Under her leadership, KCC has continued to grow as a place where people feel safe, supported and able to contribute. She places a strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and models the importance of care, balance and growth at all levels of the organisation. Lainy also plays an active role in advocacy on both local and national platforms, helping to amplify the voices of communities and organisations working at the grassroots. Her work remains firmly grounded in the Board’s vision of Kingsway as a proud, capable and confident multicultural community.
