Volunteer with us

Volunteers continue to play an important role in the life of KCC.

Our volunteers support activities, events, groups and the everyday running of the Centre. Some give their time regularly each week, while others step forward to help at particular events or when extra support is needed. Together, they help create the warm and welcoming atmosphere that people experience when they come through our doors.

The contribution volunteers make goes far beyond practical support. They offer conversation, encouragement, friendship and a listening ear. They share their skills, experiences and local knowledge, helping people feel connected and ensuring KCC remains rooted in the community it serves.

Volunteering is also a two-way relationship. Many of our volunteers tell us that being involved has helped them build confidence, develop new skills, make friends and feel more connected to their community.

Our Volunteers

Volunteers’ Week is an annual UK-wide campaign held from the first Monday in June to celebrate and recognise the contributions of volunteers. Our Volunteers told us what volunteering at KCC means to them.
